The Baldwin City Council has set its timeline for the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. During the city council’s work session on Tuesday, May 6, Chief Administrative Officer Emily Woodmaster presented the schedule, outlining key dates for community involvement and council action.

The process will begin with the city advertising an upcoming town hall meeting over the next two weeks. That meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Community Room, where residents will have the opportunity to share input and ask questions about the budget.

The council will then receive the proposed budget during its May 27 regular meeting. Following that, a public hearing on the budget is scheduled to take place during the June 9 city council meeting, allowing for formal public comment.

Final adoption of the FY 2026 budget is slated for June 26. In the event the council does not adopt the budget on that date, a backup meeting is scheduled for June 30.
