Baldwin Man Charged With DUI in GA 365 Wreck

A Baldwin man is charged with DUI in connection with an accident Saturday on GA 365 near Duncan Bridge Road.

A report by the Georgia State Patrol says 71-year old Robert Charles Allberry Jr. flipped his vehicle after swerving to avoid traffic.

According to the report, Allberry was traveling south on GA 365 just north of Duncan Bridge Road/GA 384 when he crested a hill, saw a car stopped in front of him and swerved to avoid rear-ending it. Alberry told officers he then lost control of his vehicle on the wet pavement, skidded backwards off the road, ran up a small embankment, hit several trees and overturned.

He was transported to Habersham Medical Center with unspecified injuries. No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries reported.

Allberry is charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane.
