The city of Baldwin hosted its 6th annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 23. The event was attended by approximately 300-400 people over the course of the day, according to city council member Stephanie Almagno.

“It was busy. We had a nice event; a lot of kids, a lot of people,” she says.

The festival began at 9:30 a.m. with a JEEPers Creepers Halloween decorating contest at City Hall. Eleven Jeeps participated in the decorating contest. The Jeepers rolled out at noon for a Jeep crawl through the National Forest in Mt. Airy for the Currahee Fall Crawl.

Forty vendors participated in the festival held at the farmer’s market in downtown Baldwin. Organizers say it was funded through private donations.
