Baldwin cancels Tuesday work session, announces February key dates

The Baldwin City Council has cancelled its work session for Tuesday, Feb. 4. According to Baldwin City Clerk Erin Gathercoal, the meeting was cancelled due to not having any items on the agenda for council discussion. The City Council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10.

Since the meeting was cancelled, Gathercoal provided announcements for key dates that city residents and citizens need to be aware of during the month of February.

Announcements

City of Baldwin Property Taxes are due Friday, Feb. 28. If you have not received your tax bill, please contact City Hall at 706-778-6341 or [email protected]. Failure to receive a bill does not exempt property owners from penalties or interest resulting from payment after the due date.

Homestead Exemption Affidavits for 2025 property taxes are due April 1st. If you do not have a Homestead Exemption, stop by City Hall or call 706-778-6341 to find out the exemption for which you qualify. If you have a city exemption, but not a county exemption, contact the county’s Tax Assessors’ Office in which the property is located.

City Offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
