Tallulah Falls School had two basketball players, Neyo Bain and Breelyn Woods, earn the GIAA All-State honors for their performance over the past two years.

Bain

Neyo Bain has been a star player for two seasons now at the varsity level. The junior guard is fresh off a career-best season, scoring 380 points (13.6 per game) to lead the team in points, as well as in steals (70), assists (93), and second in rebounds (144). His assist total is the second most in a single season all-time, and the steals are the third most.

Early in the season, Bain had a 9-steal game, breaking his own single-game school record. He also had a 34-point game, making the second-most for any TFS player all-time. Entering his senior year, Bain has 670 career points, 224 rebounds, 151 assists, and 137 steals. He’s been a key to back-to-back playoff runs, including this year’s Elite 8 trip. He was named 1st Team All-Region, and was an Honorable Mention last year.

Wood

Breelyn Wood was a four-year standout for the Lady Indians, and a vital part of two Elite 8 and three total playoff teams, as well as being on the Region Championship team in 2021-22. In her final season, Wood scored 334 points (13.4 PPG) and had 145 rebounds (5.8). She scored a career-high 25 points in late January against Loganville Christian.

Last season, her 22-rebound game against Elbert County sits as the 2nd-most in a single game in team history, and her 16 blocks this season is among the best seasons in that category. She also recorded 57 steals this year. For her career, she finishes with 801 career points and 475 rebounds, notching north of 100 in both steals and assists, and putting up 40-plus blocks (2nd in school history). Wood was named 1st Team All-Region as both a junior and senior.

Furthermore, Wood was selected to play in the GIAA All-Star game in Macon on Saturday, March 8 for the AAA/AAAA ‘Red’ Team.
