Local authorities and GBI are investigating after a man was found dead Monday morning, according to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.
Stephens County authorities responded to a medical call at 322 Collier Road just after 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3. There, police say they found the man dead inside the building.
The sheriff’s office requested assistance from GBI in the case. Stephens County Sheriff Rusty Fulbright told Now Habersham there is no foul play suspected at this time. Fulbright said authorities are not releasing the identity of the man at this time, as his family hadn’t yet been notified.
The investigation remains ongoing, Fulbright said, and further details will be released as they become available.
