The four-day search for a man wanted on a domestic violence charge in Rabun County has ended. The county sheriff’s office says Calab Bryce Wilson is now in custody.
The 23-year-old Wilson was arrested on Saturday, September 2. He’s charged with aggravated battery and cruelty to children.
The alleged incident happened on Wednesday, August 30, inside Clayton city limits. Wilson fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, the sheriff’s office says. He fled from a traffic stop on foot the following night.
That traffic stop occurred in the area of Old Chechero Road off Hwy. 76. The sheriff’s office says Wilson left behind a loaded firearm in the vehicle when he ran away.
The sheriff’s office did not give details on where or how Wilson was located. He is now being held in the Rabun County jail.
