All shapes and sizes are welcome. The only requirement for this fun-filled day is a leash. It’s the city of Clarkesville’s Dog Days of Summer event at Sam Pitts Park located on Sam Pitts Circle in downtown Clarkesville.

Saturday, August 24th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Pitts Park is the place to be with your best friend. There will be activities for you and your pet to enjoy together. Vendors, thrilling K9 demonstrations, games, and a pet artist are just some of the ways you can spend a day in the park with your fur baby.

Colby Moore, Clarkesville’s Main Street Director said, ” There will be pup cups, splash pools, frisbees and so much more for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy! So, please come out and spend time with the community and your pet.”

It is often said that a man’s best friend has a way of finding the people who need them. In so doing, they fill an emptiness the person didn’t even know he or she had. Make this event a day to celebrate and love your pet.

Sorry cats but dogs only for this event.
