After a multi-agency investigation, an Athens man was arrested for allegedly dealing fentanyl on Feb. 26, while two others were taken into custody for warrants, according to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.

Earlier this week, the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant in the 100 block of Bedford Drive in connection with alleged distribution of fentanyl.

Authorities discovered the resident of the home, 66-year-old Deborah Lumpkin of Athens, had allegedly allowed Quincy Brooks, 47, also from Athens, to distribute fentanyl at the residence.

Authorities detained three individuals, including Brooks, Deborah Lumpkin and 35-year-old Christian “Christi” Lumpkin, of Athens, during the search.

At the residence, law enforcement officers allegedly recovered significant quantities of fentanyl, cocaine and schedule IV pharmaceuticals.

Brooks was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of schedule IV pharmaceuticals with intent to distribute. Both Deborah and Christian Lumpkin were arrested due to outstanding warrants, according to police.
