Athens Police nab third teen suspect in May homicide

ATHENS, Ga. – Athens-Clarke County police have arrested a third teen suspect in connection to the fatal shooting of Cameron Manago on May 27.

Officers apprehended Keanthony Sorrells, 15, in the 100 block of Ramble Hills Drive on October 9, according to a news release from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department (ACCPD). Sorrells faces charges including malice murder, felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and gang violence.

This arrest follows the earlier apprehension of two other suspects in the Memorial Day shooting, 16-year-old Jaheim Echols and 16-year-old Zyquavious Thomas.

The ACCPD Robbery/Homicide and Gang Units, Special Response Team, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force collaborated on the arrest.
