Thirteen people have been arrested and charged in connection with an investigation into alleged drug dealing and street gang activity in Northeast Georgia.
Some of the suspects are associates and/or members of the white supremacist Aryan Brotherhood gang, according to a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) in Cleveland.
Authorities executed search warrants at two residences in Habersham County. They arrested nine of the suspects in Habersham and picked up four others in Tennessee.
The arrests followed an investigation that lasted several months.
ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman calls the Aryan Brotherhood “a dangerous criminal organization” that’s involved in violence, firearms, and the transportation of illegal narcotics.
