Drug charges filed against two Cleveland residents

(Cleveland)- Two separate month long drug investigations led to the arrest of two Cleveland residents. Special Agent in Charge of the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Mitchell Posey reported Friday that the White County Sheriff’s Office, Cleveland Police Department and ARDEO agents arrested the two and charged them with distribution of methamphetamine.

Both cases were initiated because of tips from White County citizens, said Posey.

According to Posey, White County authorities located approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine packaged for distribution on 32-year old Margarita Delgado as she was leaving a local bar early Friday morning.

Authorities previously received citizens’ complaints that Delgado was selling methamphetamine from her places of employment, a White County bar and a White County restaurant. ARDEO’s surveillance of Delgado confirmed the citizens’ suspicion. The street value of Delgado’s narcotics is $440.

In another investigation, White County authorities executed a search warrant at 21-year old Martin Kyler Ferguson’s residence at 60 Ash Street, Cleveland. ARDEO’s investigation confirmed citizens’ suspicion that Ferguson was selling methamphetamine and marijuana from his residence. A small quantity of marijuana and methamphetamine were discovered during the search. The street value of Ferguson’s narcotics is $100.

Delagado and Ferguson, were each charged with distribution of methamphetamine and transported to the White County Detention Center. Ferguson was also chargedwith possession of marijuana.
