APRIL MACHELLE WESTMORELAND LEE, age 44 of Clarkesville, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 after a short but courageous, gritty and determined fight against cancer.
Born in Hall County on April 11, 1970, she was a daughter of Aubrey Westmoreland and Mary Jackson Westmoreland both of Sautee-Nacoochee. Mrs. Lee was a Paraprofessional, Attendance Clerk and In School Suspension Teacher with Habersham Central High School 9th Grade Academy and was a member of Welcome Worship Center in Dahlonega.
April loved her family, was an absolutely wonderful mother, committed her work to helping children in our school system, actively involved in their church, and above all else, loved Jesus with all her heart. She fought this disease with passion and grace, all the while believing and knowing that her God is bigger and no matter what happened, she would be okay, either here on this earth or with God in heaven.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Linda Lee. In addition to her mother and father, she is also survived by her husband, Bucky Lee of Clarkesville; son, Jackson Marvin Lee of Clarkesville; daughter, Abby Elisabeth Lee of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Bryan and Linda Westmoreland of Sautee-Nacoochee; sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Rodney Perry of Mt. Airy.
