Apply early for absentee ballots due to postal delays

The Habersham County Elections and Voter Registration (HCEVR) office has issued a press release advising voters wishing to vote by absentee ballot to apply for the absentee ballot as soon as possible.

According to the press release, Habersham County Elections and Voter Registration has always strived to process absentee applications and absentee ballots as quickly as possible. However, we would like to advise our voters that the USPS is dealing with major delays at the Palmetto distribution center.

Please apply for your absentee ballot early and send it back to us as soon as possible. That will allow for ample time for us to receive it. You may also choose to vote early at either of our two (2) early voting locations or vote at your polling place on Election Day.

If you would like to request an application for absentee ballot, please call our office at 706-839-0170, or email [email protected] or apply online at https://securemyabsenteeballot.sos.ga.gov/s/
