Appalachian Raiders drop inaugural game, turn attention to Falcons

The Appalachian Raiders fell in their inaugural NDFL game 6-0 to the Georgia Wolves last Saturday, but eye Week 2 as a chance to turn things around.

The Wolves Scored with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Raiders appeared to tie the game up when a fumble by their QB Will Swantic was recovered for a touchdown. However, by NFL rule the only person that can recover the fumble inside the red zone is the person that fumbles it – therefore negating the score.

The Raiders had numerous opportunities to score, going inside the redzone five times, including twice reaching the one-yard line only to be turned away each time.

They are now 0-1 in NDFL play. Below are game stats from the Raiders. The Raiders play Saturday at Lenora Park in Snellville against the Georgia Falcons, with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.
