The GBI is looking for another suspect in the murder of Rosanna Delgado. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Maria Katherine Chavez Encarnacion, 28, of Marietta.
Encarnacion is the eighth named suspect in the case — four people have been arrested and four others are still being sought, including Juan Ayala-Rodriguez, 35, of Gainesville.
The 37-year-old Delgado, of Barrow County, was a taxi driver and mother of two. She was last seen alive in Dekalb County on April 16, 2021. Four days later, Gilmer County deputies found her body while conducting a welfare check at a residence in Cherry Log some 100 miles away.
According to GBI spokesperson Nelly Miles, Encarnacion’s last known location was Mexico.
