For the third time in less than a week Habersham County Animal Control has confirmed a case of rabies in the county.
Director of Animal Control Madi Hawkins says the latest incident occurred November 14th on Demorest-Mt. Airy Highway. She says a skunk came into contact with and was killed by two dogs. Test results were returned today. The skunk tested positive for rabies.

Hawkins says both dogs were current on their vaccinations and are now in a 45 day observation period.
