Tallulah Falls School Alumni Homecoming 2016, set for April 15-16, will again feature a family-friendly kick-off social on Friday night. Alumni can look forward to seeing former classmates in a relaxed setting. On Saturday the always-popular “Light in the Mountains” 5K will now feature an adventure/obstacle theme.
All former students staff and alumni are invited back for the two days of fun and reminiscing. Honored classes this year are: 1946,1956, 1966, 1976, 1986, 1996 and 2006.
“The TFS Alumni Committee has been hard at work on the plans for Homecoming and we look forward to celebrating our strong connection to the school,” said Irene Gray, alumni committee member.
Friday activities
Friday April 15 activities, from 5-8 p.m. include a family social, “Fun on the Field, to be held at the soccer field. The “Orange Constant” band will return. Louie’s on the Lake and other concessions will be on site and two bouncy house/slides will be available. Additionally, Heroes in Force will be there to highlight the family-friendly theme for the evening. Children’s activities and games will be a part of the fun.
Saturday activities
The second annual “Light in the Mountains” 5K Fury at the Farm Face will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16. Introduced last year, the race format will include an obstacle/adventure course that takes place at the School Farm.
As always, the museum will be open and TFS-themed gear will be offered for sale on Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and from 3-4:30 p.m. A student art show will be on display in the Circle Building Lobby during the the day as well.
A luncheon program, $15, will be be held from 1-3 p.m. in Federation Dining Hall with registration held in the Circle Building Lobby.
