(Cleveland)- An Alto woman has been cited in connection with a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon that involved a White County Fire Department vehicle.
Cpl. Joshua Hedden with the Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville said the accident was reported at 12:47 PM on State Route 254 at Webster Lake Road. According to Hedden, a 2013 Ford Escape driven by 55-year-old Donna Welsh of Alto was traveling north on Webster Lake Road and failed to yield after stopping at the stop sign and proceeded north to Post Road.
The fire vehicle, driven by 30-year old Bradley Alexander, was traveling west on SR 254 negotiating a curve and struck the front passenger side of Welsh’s vehicle.
According to Cpl. Hedden, Welsh was not injured but was cited for failure to yield after stopping at a stop sign. Alexander received minor injuries.
