An Alto man is in jail on drug trafficking charges after being arrested during a traffic stop. The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) says 31-year old Cazzie Allen Stewart was arrested by Habersham County deputies Wednesday.
The deputies reportedly observed drugs in Stewart’s vehicle during the stop, prompting a search of his vehicle. During the search, ARDEO says deputies recovered approximately one-and-a-half ounces of crystal methamphetamine and prescription hydrocodone pills.
The street value of the illegal drugs seized is approximately $2000.
Stewart is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (Hydrocodone) and a seat belt violation. He was transported to the Habersham County Detention Center.
