The Alto Town Council will hold a called meeting Tuesday afternoon, August 20, at 5 p.m. The only item on the agenda for the council to consider is to enter into executive session (closed meeting) for personnel.
The discussion for personnel will not be heard by the public. However, should a decision be reached during the closed meeting, the council may immediately take action when it reconvenes the public meeting, following the executive session.
Prior executive session
The council met last Tuesday during its regularly scheduled meeting. One of the topics on the agenda was for the council to enter into executive session for real estate purposes. Upon reconvening the public meeting, the council took action on the real estate matter.
According to Town Clerk Penny Rogers, the council voted to contact the attorney to begin the process of advertising for sealed bids for the Cedar Creek property with a minimum bid of $40,000. The property is in the Cedar Creek subdivision off Crane Mill Rd.
The council’s called meeting for Tuesday, August 20, at 5 p.m. will be held at the Alto Town Hall located at 186 Wade Street in Alto.
