Alonzo Judge Wade

Alonzo Judge Wade, age 87, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Wade was born on May 26, 1927 in Banks County, Georgia to the late George Washington Wade and Bessie Davidson Wade. He was of the Christian Faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He was a retired owner and operator of Alonzo Wade Used Cars and Auto Parts with 60 years of service. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Ernie Wade; brother, Norman Wade; and grandson, Darrin Keith Ramey.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Jimmie Baugh Wade, of Alto; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Willie Nix, of Carnesville; Robin and Jimmy Smith, of Demorest; son, Johnny Ray Wade, of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Debbie Wade, of Alto; grandchildren, Jamie and Dawn Nix, Joey Nix, Angel Jordan, Jalene Smith, Shelia Ramey. great grandchildren, Warren and Sarah Nix, Bryan and Shelby Nix, Nicole Thomas, Shawn Ramey, Travis Ramey, Emma Jordan, Shauna Ayers, and Destiny Ayers. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. Terry Benfield and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the funeral home.
