Alabama woman arrested, charged with child molestation in Habersham County

An Alabama woman is behind bars in Habersham County charged with three counts of aggravated child molestation. Judge Amy Thomas denied bond for Nikkie Monique Grimes who was arrested July 6 for alleged sex acts involving a family member under the age of ten.

According to arrest warrants, Grimes molested the young boy on three occasions sometime between January 1, 2018, and June 18, 2019.

Grimes, 37, of Tuskegee, Alabama, is accused of committing the crimes in Habersham County. Judge Thomas signed the warrants for her arrest on April 22, 2022.

The sheriff’s office has not released details of the circumstances surrounding Grimes’ arrest.
