The Hall County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division received a dozen Adventure Bags for patrol deputies. Many children in crisis situations do not have backpacks to put their belongings in or school supplies. In some instances, when children are being removed from their homes, children carry a garbage sack of their clothes, shoes, and stuffies around. Most of them do not have an avenue to get school supplies.
Because of a generous donation from Adventure Bags, a non-profit whose mission is to help children in crises, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division now has a solution for these kids.
According to Hall County Sheriff’s Office Facebook, Chad and Kimberly Pils, who serve as volunteers with the Winder-based group, brought a dozen Adventure Bags to HCSO Headquarters for deputies to use while on the job. This is something Adventure Bags does for children all over the state of Georgia by providing filled backpacks to school systems, domestic violence shelters, law enforcement agencies, and more. The contents in each backpack align with the age and gender of the recipient.
