Adopt-A-Pet: Puppy love

Valentine’s Day is here, and whether you’re spending it enjoying all the pink hearts and rom-coms the day brings, or kicking back with the TV and rolling your eyes at all the mushy-gushy commercials, there are shelter animals who are desperate for your love today.

Get yourself a little puppy love this Valentine’s Day by meeting these two adoptable dogs at the Habersham County Animal Shelter, who would love to be your fur-ever friend!

Meet Tulip

Everyone gets roses for Valentine’s Day, what about filling your home— and heart— with a little bit of Tulip instead? (HCACC)

Roses for Valentine’s Day are overdone, why not try Tulip instead? Meet Tulip, a sweet female terrier mix who would love to be part of your life.

“I’d really like to have a family to love on Valentine’s Day,” she says. “I’m a good girl who really likes to give kisses, and I’d be so happy to have someone to give all my kisses to.”

Tulip enjoys making new friends, and would really like to meet someone she can connect with. She’s been waiting to meet her person for almost a month, and it’s hard for her to keep all her love inside her little body.

“While I might be at the shelter this Valentine’s Day, the next one is going to be one for the books,” she says. “I can’t wait to meet my fur-ever family!”

Meet Tiny

His name might be little, but this cuddly pup is anything but! Meet Tiny, the biggest, fluffiest, gentlest giant in the world.

“My perfect home would be a place with someone who loves cuddling, has soft places to nap and doesn’t mind using a lint roller,” he says. “I might be covered in a whole lot of fur, but I’ll keep us both warm.”

Tiny enjoys cuddles, scratches and long walks on wooded trails. He hopes he can find someone who loves him as much as he loves humans, and that he can live out his days in a happy home.

“I’m spending Valentine’s Day at the shelter, but I won’t be upset if I get to celebrate a day or two late,” Tiny says. “As long as I find my fur-ever home, I’ll be happy.”
