Everyone deserves a happy ending and new beginnings, but these two sweet dogs at the Habersham County Animal Shelter, who have been waiting for their fur-ever homes for over a month, might deserve one a little more.
Grado and Russ would love to be part of a family— could that family be yours?
Meet Grado
Grado has been waiting patiently for his fur-ever home since mid-December, and this quiet, well-mannered boy is desperate for a family.
“I spent Christmas hoping someone would bring me home for the holidays, but it never happened,” Grado said. “I really want to spend next Christmas with someone who loves me, I want to be home for the holidays.”
Aside from having the sweetest face a dog could have, and the cutest little ears in the world, Grado has a heart of gold. He’s gentle and soft-spoken, but still has a wagging tail and happy feet every time someone makes him feel special by stopping by for a chat.
“I love people, and I’m a good boy,” he says. “One day, I’ll get to spend the rest of my life with my family who loves me and I can love right back.”
Meet Russ
Russ loves kids, and has been waiting at the shelter for his very own child to love and watch grow up since early December.
“I love when tiny humans come to say ‘hi,’ or play with me outside,” he says. “No matter how big or small, I love people and I really want to be part of a family.”
Russ, just like Grado, waited all holiday season for someone to bring him home. That moment didn’t happen, but Russ says it isn’t too late for him.
“I hope that I’m out in the backyard playing football with kids of my own soon,” Russ says. “Running around, chasing things, giving kisses and making memories— that’s a perfect life.”
