Making Memories made some memories last week as the event planning service opened the doors to its new shop in Clarkesville.
Co-owners Shirley Alley and Chris Grimes spent months renovating the building. On Wednesday, September 9, they unveiled it to the public during a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony. The shop offers handcrafted designs and features art and pottery from local artisans.
In addition to selling unique decor and floral designs, Making Memories offers one stop event planning services for special occasions including weddings, showers and birthdays. “We do things things for all seasons, holidays and events,” says Grimes.

Making Memories is located at 1763 Highway 197 North, directly across from North Georgia Technical College. It’s open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
