I don’t need a calendar date to release my past and make a brand new start.
For I can find You on my knees, and within my heart.
You are my healer- that makes me whole when I feel like falling apart.
My goal is to be who You want me to be, and stop fighting for who I am not.
With You I CAN be anything, DO anything, YOU are my strength-
The battle in my head of CAN’T… is already won before it’s fought.
Everyone sets goals of who they want to be for the year.
I ask of You to bring the world happiness, cheer, and for people to be brave…face their fear.
And to tug at each heart every time the Devil gets near.
I want the world to realize with You the world of possibilities are in their grip.
And who better to catch you if you make mistakes and slip?
I want people to smile often, to laugh, to learn, and to chase their dreams.
Most importantly not to be tempted by the Devil’s schemes.
With a world that passes by too quickly…I want to take it all in.
The little moments, family, and friends.
I need to learn to love others as the love You have for me.
That people would learn to love themselves and just be.
That You speak to the broken and help break their bondage free.
and that the world could look through Your eyes and see.
Lord, you never will know how much You mean to me.
This year I want to be a better Christian and lead others to thee.
