Two suspects are in jail and another is being sought in connection with Monday’s armed robbery at the ABC Food Store in Cornelia.
Cornelia Police Chief Chad Smith says his department arrested 20-year old Monterro Javon Johnson Tuesday. The Banks County Sheriff’s Office picked up 37-year old Michael Corey Johnson today in Homer, Georgia.
A third suspect, 34-year old Taurus Morgan, remains at large.
Monterro Johnson also faces armed robbery charges for the October 8 holdup at the Lucky Gulf Gas Station in Baldwin and is considered a suspect in the burglary at Four Oaks Package Store in Mt. Airy that occurred that same day.
The ABC Food Store on North Main Street in Cornelia was robbed around 9:25 p.m. Monday. Police say a gunman demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
If you have any information about Taurus Morgan’s whereabouts Chief Smith asks that you please contact your local Sheriff or Police Department.
