Cornelia Teen Indicted in Armed Robbery and Burglary

A former Habersham Central High School student has been indicted on numerous charges in connection with an armed robbery and burglary in Cornelia. 17-year old Tavaccea Davis was indicted in both crimes today during a special session of the Habersham County Grand Jury.

The Cornelia teen, who also goes by the name of “Trap,” was indicted for the April 17th armed robbery and shooting of fellow teen, Austin Wilbanks. Jurors also indicted him in connection with a burglary at Gene’s Pawn Shop in Cornelia on February 1st.

According to District Attorney George Christian, Davis faces eight counts in connection with the robbery including, aggravated battery, three counts of aggravated assault, armed robbery, and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

He was indicted on burglary and criminal trespass charges along with another teen, 18-year old Robin Lee Evely, in connection with the pawn shop break-in.
