A Clarkesville man is in jail facing battery and drug charges following an incident at his home on Monday.
According to the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO), deputies responded to a call at 120 Railroad Avenue. While there, they reportedly observed illegal narcotics.
ARDEO Special Agent in Charge Mitchell Posesy says his agency assisted with the subsequent investigation. He says Habersham County authorities seized suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale, along with drug related objects and suspected marijuana. The street value of the drugs is approximately $500.
28-year old Stuart Eric Warrensford was arrested without incident at the residence and transported to the Habersham County Detention Center.
He’s charged with battery under the Family Violence Act, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
