Psalm 73:28, “But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.”
After a series of events, I smiled. It wasn’t working out as I intended, but OH! how it was working out. In the midst of anguish, God was bringing me blessings. Small. Simple. Real Blessings.
My heart filled with joy and gratitude. I could barely keep my feet on the ground. It is so good to be near God.
In trial, in brokenness, in sorrow He hovers over us, comforting, caressing, humming gently in our ears, “I AM HERE!”
In victory, in triumph, in splendor His smile resonates in our soul for He rejoices with us.
I’ve learned to be aware. I’ve learned to stop and thank Him. I’ve learned to rejoice even when it is the last thing I want to do. I’ve learned to listen to His voice and direction.
Today, know that God is near you. For those of you in need, He is provision. For those of you in grief, He is comfort and hope. For those of you in joy, He rejoices with you. For those of you in despair, He is the answer.
