HELEN, GEORGIA – Twenty wineries will gather at Habersham Winery in Helen, Ga. for the 24th Annual WineFest. Guests have an opportunity to visit one location to taste North Georgia made wine in one location, listen to live music, and eat special locally-made snacks and lunch.
From noon to 5 p.m. on May 7, wineries will be serving four types of wines totaling 80 wines featured during the event. For $30, guests receive 15 tasting tickets and a souvenir glass. For those not drinking wine, the cost is $10 for ages 16 years and up and free for guests 15 and under.
Tim P White of Greenville, SC is performing at the event for the second year in a row. He specializes in original and cover songs in genres of rock, folk, alternative, alternative country and americana. Tim is an independent musician originally from Akron, OH.
This event is sponsored by and the participating wineries are members of the Winegrowers Association of Georgia (WAG). This nonprofit corporation promotes and markets Georgia wine, improves the market environment for Georgia wines, increases public awareness of Georgia wines, and facilitates research in Georgia viticultural and vinification techniques to improve already noteworthy wines.
