The City of Demorest Water Department has lifted its boil water advisory. The advisory was issued Thursday as a precaution after crews made emergency repairs to a line that was leaking.
According to City Manager Steve Lindsey, the advisory was lifted upon approval of test results by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).
Demorest water customers in the Camp Creek Road area and customers in the Morningstar and Habersham Estates subdivisions may resume normal water use.
