Authorities have released the name of the woman whose body was found at the base of Yonah Mountain. White County Sheriff’s Office investigator Captain Scotty Scarbrough identified the victim Wednesday as 27-year old Virginia Grace Hill of Gainesville, Georgia.
Hill’s body was found around 8:45 p.m. Monday night by a hiker.
Scarbrough says the investigation indicates Hill was alone on the mountain and the fall from the rock face was an accident. He says officials are waiting on autopsy results to confirm investigative results.
