If you’re traveling to or through Dahlonega this week be prepared for possible delays and detours. Parts of the Dahlonega Square will be closed for filming.
Woodridge Productions will be shooting scenes for a Sony Pictures TV pilot called Hail Mary on Wednesday, March 30th and Thursday, March 31st.
According to the Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber and Visitors Bureau, several roads will be closed to ensure the safety of the general public, cast and crew members.
The following roads will be closed Wednesday from 5 a.m.-10 p.m. and again on Thursday from 7 a.m.-11:59 p.m.:
- East Main Street/Public Square North (westbound lane only) between North Meaders Street and North Chestatee Street
- North Park Street and Chestatee Street between Public Square North and Warwick Street
Downtown businesses and restaurants will remain open.
Off-duty Lumpkin County Sheriff’s deputies will be onsite to help guide traffic. All equipment and support trucks will be parked within closures or on private property to avoid any unnecessary congestion.
