Raymond Estes Kinsey

Raymond Estes Kinsey, age 84 of Demorest, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016.

Born in Cleveland, Georgia on April 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Felix and Georgia Freeman Kinsey. Mr. Kinsey was retired from the Habersham County Road Department and was of the Holiness faith.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and socializing.  He never met a stranger and was a loving, wonderful husband, who loved all children and everybody he met.

Survivors include loving wife of 55 years, Gladys McClellon Kinsey of Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Glenda Kinsey of Cleveland; daughter, Tammy Kinsey of Demorest; grandchildren, Greg Kinsey (Darlene) and Chris Kinsey all of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee, Chelsea and Delina Kinsey all of Cleveland; sister, Annie Tatum of Gainesville; special nephew, Travis McClellon along with several other nieces, nephews and other family members; special friends, Jim and Deb Brown of North Carolina.

Funeral services are 2 pm Wednesday, March 16, 2016, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Kenneth Taylor and Rev. Paul Flynn officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
