Temperatures shot back up into the 50’s today after a weekend of watching and waiting for winter weather.
While the weather didn’t hit Habersham quite as hard as expected, Northeast Georgia did see some freezing rain, rain showers and freezing temperatures yesterday and today. Several local colleges and schools cancelled classes on Monday and this morning icy bridges forced delayed starts for Habersham and Banks County schools.
According to WRWH Radio in Cleveland, there was a multi-vehicle accident on the Highway 115 bridge between Clarkesville and Cleveland around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. There were no reports of any serious injuries.
