Lloyd Wilson, age 78, of Alto, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 after an extended illness.
Mr. Wilson was born in Hall County, GA on September 16, 1937 to the late Harvey Roscoe and Mary Lou Smith Wilson. He was also preceded in death by brothers, James, Herbert, Harvey Jr., and Harlan Wilson; and sister, Shirley Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church and a former long time member of Enon Baptist Church. He was a longtime employee with Gainesville Limestone Products, retired from Hanson Building Materials, and was also a poultry farmer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janice Echols Wilson of Alto; daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Edmon Dempsey of Nicholson, Jennifer and Chris Fowler of Alto; son, Jimmy Wilson of Alto; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Alvis Smith of Alto, Charlotte and J.T. Parson of Alto; brother and sister-in-law, Harris and Joyce Wilson of Alto; ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Feb, 13, 2016 at Level Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Brian James, Rev. Loyd Martin and Rev. Ricky Elrod officiating. Interment will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at the funeral home.
