On January 15, 2016, the Cleveland Police Department and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office arrested Julie Harris, 34, of Cleveland, and Charles McLeroy, 47, of Helen. Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle at a residence in the city of Cleveland, and further investigation led to the discovery of illegal narcotics in their possession.
Harris and McLeroy were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute, and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to distribute.
The street value of the contraband seized was estimated at $3,442.50.
