Deal Appoints Maggie Rickman to JQC

Maggie Rickman of Tiger has been appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to serve on the state Judicial Qualifications Commission. Her appointment was announced in a press release issued by the governor’s office. Rickman is the wife of Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney Brian Rickman.

According to the release, Rickman currently works in the multi-age Little Way Elementary classroom for third through fifth grades. She is a certified peace officer and probation officer. She previously worked in the Piedmont Judicial Circuit, Western Judicial Circuit and for the Department of Corrections at the Toccoa Probation Office. Rickman earned a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University. The Rickmans have two children.
