Nearly seven weeks after an alleged violent shoplifting incident at the Clarkesville Package Store, three teenage women from Florida remain behind bars at the Habersham County jail.

The trio — identified as Ja’Naysia Anderson, 18, and Jade Kinsley Stewart, 19, both of St. Petersburg, and 17-year-old Amiah Unique Lovette of Ruskin — face multiple felony charges stemming from the March 29 incident. According to Clarkesville Police, all three are charged with second-degree burglary, felony shoplifting, and robbery with force.

Additionally, Anderson and Lovette face charges of aggravated assault.
Stewart, authorities say, presented false identification upon arrest and is listed as a fugitive from justice. She remains in custody without bond. Anderson is being held on a $25,000 bond, and Lovette is held on a $50,000 bond. Both also have active holds from the Toccoa Police Department in connection with a similar shoplifting case reported on March 1.

Law enforcement officials from both Toccoa and Baldwin have attempted to question the suspects regarding the March 1 incidents. However, according to records obtained from the Toccoa Police Department, the teens declined to answer investigators’ questions.

Surveillance photos circulated on the official social media accounts for both cities show a male individual with the three teens. Toccoa Police Sergeant Kenneth Frady confirmed that the man is not considered a suspect in their case. However, Baldwin Police Chief Chris Jones stated the individual remains a suspect in the shoplifting case in Baldwin.

Court dates have not yet been set for the pending criminal cases, according to the Habersham County Clerk of Courts office. The investigation remains ongoing.
