Habersham Central High School will celebrate the Class of 2025 with its graduation ceremony on Friday, May 23, at 8:00 p.m. in Raider Stadium.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony may be delayed up to two hours Friday night. Graduation will continue in the rain as long as lightning is not present. However, attendees are reminded that umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium.

If weather conditions make it impossible to hold the event Friday night, the ceremony will be rescheduled for Saturday, May 24, at 9:00 a.m. in Raider Stadium. As with the original date, school officials say the start time on Saturday may also be adjusted as needed due to weather.

Habersham Central officials encourage families to plan accordingly and stay informed through official school communication channels for any updates.

During the ceremony, Brian James, Ph.D, the senior pastor of Level Grove Baptist Church since 2006 and a 1990 graduate of Habersham Central High School, will deliver an address to the graduating Class of 2025.

James, named the recipient of the 2025 HCHS Lifetime Achievement Award, will also be recognized for his lifelong dedication to faith, education and community service at the graduation ceremony.

James holds multiple degrees including a doctorate in ministry.

He co-founded Camp Koinonia, a large discipleship camp for youth, and has led numerous local and international mission efforts. His leadership also includes roles with the Georgia Baptist Convention and the Victory Home Rehabilitation Center. As chaplain of the Habersham Raider Football team since 2004, and through his published curricula and pastoral work, James has made a broad impact.

Under his guidance, Level Grove has grown into one of northeast Georgia’s largest congregations. James, who lives in Demorest with his wife Paula and their four daughters, will be honored
