Autumn Gail Wade passed away Friday, four days after being burned in a flash fire in her home in the Taylor Mobile Home Park in Cleveland.
Funeral arrangements are being made for a 22-year old woman who passed away Friday, four days after being burned in a flash fire in her home in Cleveland. Autumn Wade suffered burns over 97% of her body. She was transported to the burn unit at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta where her family says she died on Friday.
According to a report on wrwh.com, an arrest warrant has been issued for 47-year old Robert Gaddis of Cleveland in connection with the case. Gaddis is the maintenance worker at the mobile home park where Wade lived. An investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office revealed an open propane gas line previously connected to a heater caused the flash fire. According to Public Information Officer Laura Wright, “The heater had been disconnected and no cap or gas valve was on the gas line.”
White County Sheriff ‘s Department spokesman Captain Tim Chapman says a warrant for reckless conduct was taken by the State Fire Marshall. Chapman says the charges stem from when Gaddis, who provided maintenance at Taylor Mobile Home Park located on Purple Star Lane, allegedly hooked up a gas stove but not a heater leaving an open gas line.
