Piedmont women’s golf holds steady in second at USA South Tournament

The Piedmont University women’s golf team held steady in second place after day two at the USA South Conference Tournament. Erin Donovan continues to sit in second overall individually while Sarah Fox played her way into the top-six.

Fox bounced back in round two with a 74 to shoot just two-over. She birdied twice on the back nine to finish even there after a +4 on the back nine Monday.

Erin Donovan shot a 75 with a double on 18 costing her a pair of strokes to finish +3 for the round and sit four back of the individual leader.

While Abigail Evans dropped back a few spots, she still sits just outside the top-10 in 11th place individually after shooting an 82 Tuesday.

Keegan Goins made a birdie on three and finished out the day shooting an 81, shaving one stroke off her total from Monday. Marissa Weaver carded a 95 in round two.

As a team, Huntingdon continues to hold the lead by 26 strokes while Yvette Gorden remains atop the individual leaderboard by four strokes after a 73 (+1) Tuesday.

Up next, the final round will conclude in Spartanburg on Wednesday.
