A high school student in Clarke County was attacked by another teen with a knife, according to WUGA News.
The outlet cites a message from county school superintendent Robbie Hooker who said the teen was approached and attacked by an individual at a bus stop near the Parkview neighborhood.
The attacker, who has been identified as a 17-year-old from Athens, fled on foot and was captured by police shortly after the incident. The 16-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The ACCPD reports the 17-year-old suspect has been detained and is facing aggravated assault charges. The individuals did know one another, WUGA reports.
