Round One action of the girls tennis state playoffs produced some thrillers around the area.
#30 ranked Jefferson pulled out a surprising win over #3 Luella, 4-1. While #28 Dawson County lost a close one to #5 Bainbridge.
It was a disappointing start and end to the playoffs for the Habersham Central girls’ tennis team. Their season ended with a 3-1 loss to #2-ranked Lee County.
