The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who allegedly fled authorities.
In a Facebook post Monday, the sheriff’s office asked residents in the Boat Ramp Road/Gumlog area to be on the lookout for Joel Gregory Phelps, who allegedly fled from probation.
Phelps is a white male wearing black jacket with a hood and green pants, according to police.
“We do not believe that there is a threat to the public,” the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook. “If you see this individual, please notify the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office or 911.”
