An Athens man is facing multiple drug and weapons charges after a multi-agency investigation led to the suspect’s arrest earlier this week.
The Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Rocksprings Court in connection with ongoing narcotics distribution on Tuesday, Feb. 25, according to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
At the residence, Steven Wall, a 44-year-old man from Athens, was arrested following the search of his apartment. Authorities allegedly discovered multiple illegal substances, including cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone and marijuana. Officers also allegedly found a HiPoint 9mm pistol and $476 in cash.
Wall has been charged with possession of crack-cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, theft of lost or mislaid property (related to the firearm) and various drug-related charges. Police say this marks Wall’s second arrest for drug distribution while in possession of a firearm.
