The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Carnesville man who had stalled in the road before a fatal crash on Feb. 1 at the intersection of Ga. 365 and White Sulphur Road.
Investigators obtained arrest warrants on Feb. 5 for 55-year-old Brian Keith Crowe, who was one of two drivers involved in the accident. Crowe turned himself in at the Hall County Jail on Thursday, Feb. 13. He faces misdemeanor charges of second-degree homicide by vehicle and stopping, standing or parking in a prohibited place.
Crowe was released on bond early Friday morning, Feb. 14, after posting $5,830.
The crash claimed the life of 65-year-old Patricia Ann Cooper of Cumming. Authorities confirmed that no other individuals are facing charges related to the incident.
Crowe was eastbound on White Sulphur Road when he stalled in the intersection at the inside northbound lane of GA 365. A Chrysler, driven by Ronald Dale Cooper, 64, of Cumming, was northbound on GA 365 when it collided with the passenger side doors of the disabled truck.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
